Natraj Dahi Bhalle wala is the oldest and most famous Dahi bhalle wala in ALL of Delhi. Started in 1940, the shop is located in Chandni Chowk near the Red Fort.
Their menu consistes of merely two items, the fluffy, soft Dahi Bhallas, and the crispy spicy Aloo Tikkis. And both are lip-smacking, finger-licking good!
These spongy fluffy dahi bhallas are made with a paste of black gram lentils, that is made into small balls and fried golden.
What made these bhallas so delish is the savoury lentil stuffing in between each. The yogurt has the right consistency, the flavour is further enhanced with the sweet-salty tamarind chutney.
If you ever find yourself in the inviting lanes of Chandni Chowk, make it a point to visit and taste Delhi’s oldest Dahi Bhalla!
There will be no regrets!
