Delhi has been a treasure chest of great writers, artists and poets since ages. Whether it be the historical meanderings of William Dalrymple around the city, or the Urdu poetry and nazams of Mirza Ghalib reverberating in the old streets of Chandni Chowk, the city has always been poignantly portrayed by many great literary enthusiasts and lovers over time. Being a city that produces and celebrates remarkable literature and artists, it churned out many book stores that brought the written and visual art to the common masses. Some have been there even before India flured the flag of independence, and some came up amidst the growing chaos of the city. Here are a few places in and around Delhi where you can go to find your perfect read.
