To check the spread of Coronavirus disease through careless spitting in public places, the Noida authority on Monday ordered a penalty. The penalty will vary in the range of ₹500 to ₹1,000.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), Covid-19 spreads through droplets, spitting here being a major source of transmission. The authority will impose a fine of ₹500 and if a person is found spitting the second time then the fine will be ₹1,000.
