DMRC will soon be opening its magenta line interchange at Botanical Garden. We also hear that the Botanical Garden station will be the first interchange station outside of Delhi! And what we’re about to tell you will surely drive you mad!
The Botanical Garden-Kalkaji section will be the first stretch of the Magenta line to become operational. In fact, it will also be the first section of Delhi Metro where commuters will get to travel in driverless trains. :O
And that’s not it! If you’re travelling from Noida or East Delhi and want to go to the domestic airport, the Magenta Line will help you cover the distance in a record 40 minutes! Isn’t that cool, eh? 😛
Want another surprise? DMRC has projected that 97,780 people will use the interchange station daily. And in 2021, the number is expected to go up to 1.23 lakh. :O
