It’s been 6 years since the infamous Nirbhaya Case and the streets are still unsafe for women. Amidst the violence and the need to address it, Universal Runners Marathon is organizing a marathon as a tribute to Nirbhaya and many more. The whole agenda of the night run is spreading awareness about violence against women.
What To Expect At The Event?
The event aims at spreading awareness regarding women safety and gender equality in our city and country. The marathon also includes a candle march past in the memory of Nirbhaya and many such Bravehearts. The marathons are divided into several categories and you can selectively pick your time and become the part of a cause.
What You’ll Love At The Event?
The event is in association with Nirbhaya Jyoti Trust and Nirbhaya’s parents are invited to flag-off the Marathon. There’d be warm-up sessions at the beginning of the run while you cool down with some stretches at the end of the marathon. Moreover, the participants get finisher medals, T-Shirts, refreshments, Zumba, event Photos and the winners get a winners trophy.
