If you’re searching for a sprawling area full of beautiful roses, you don’t need to land up to Kashmir anymore ‘coz DDA has opened up an all-new rose garden at Dwarka, Sector-16C. While inaugurating the festival of Vanmahotsav, The Delhi Development Authority threw open this garden to the public.
This rose garden is spread across a wide expanse of 6.5 hectares and is home to about 90 varients of roses that are specially brought in from Kolkata for this garden in Dwarka. Apart from the rose garden, a fruit garden and a herbal garden have also come up in the area. The three of them together take up 11.5 acres of the green zone in Sector-16C. This green stretch is surely going to be a feast of eyes for every ardent nature lover.
Tarun Kapoor, the VC of DDA has quoted that more areas of the city are anticipated to be covered under the green carpet with the planting of about four lakh indigenous species by the end of this year. The rose garden in Dwarka will soon become a major standout, pulling in crowds from every nook and cranny of the city.
