Mr. Shashi Tharoor, on Monday stated that passports could be applied from post offices shortly. The Congress Leader who led a delegation of the Parliamentary Standing Committee stated that the move will make the process of getting a passport easy & quick!

• Since there’s a vast availability of post offices across towns & cities, the process will become easy!
• Shashi Tharoor also said that there is a need to upgrade all post offices in the country with latest infrastructure.
• He said passports could be applied from post offices shortly, adding around 86 post offices have already started work in this regard.
