The workshop will be hosted 3 maestros – Madhyama Segal, Sangini Kumar & Ayushi Madan. Between each other they have over 15 years of experience in the field & are widely popular for their graceful dance performance.

• The Odissi dance workshop will be held at Delhi Salsa Club campus in Delhi between 3rd & 4th June! These experts will be teaching you all about the abhinay basics, hand gestures, Odissi postures, strength building & studio performance.

Following is a short description of the three instructors –

Ayushi Madan

Ayushi Madan has been training in Odissi Dance for the past 16 years, under the tutelage of Guru Padmashri Shmt. Kiran Segal. Currently, she is a senior dancer of Pallavi Odissi Nritya Sangeet Vidyalaya. She has been part of many choreographs, like Divya Namaskar – a rendition of Tagore’s Poetry & Agni- The Fire Within!

Sangini Kumar

Sangini Kumar is an Odissi dancer, disciple of Padmashree Guru Kiran Segal. She has been learning Odissi at Guru Kiran Segal’s Pallavi-Odissi Nritya Sangeet Vidyalaya since the past 16 years. In fact, was recently awarded, the Sahitya Kala Parishad – ‘Scholarship for Advanced Training in Music and Dance’.

Madhyama Segal

Madhyama Segal is a senior dancer of ‘Pallavi – Odissi Nritya Sangeet Vidyalaya’. She has been trained & groomed in Odissi Dance by Guru Smt. Kiran Segal. Madhyama has been under her guidance for the past sixteen years. In that time she was presented as a solo artist in Mumbai in July 2012 in the Kaisiki ‘Guru Poornima Festival’ in Vadodara in August 2012. And last year she performed at the India International Centre!
