At Present, The Indira Gandhi International Airport ( IGIA) handles about 1400 daily flights, including 700 arrivals and 700 departures. Coming summer, this number is going to rise up to 1515 i.e. about 115 flights will be additionally operational in the city per day. Also, DIAL is enhancing the seating capacity at T2 and setting up check-in island and high-speed hand bag scanners at T3. The extended T1 is anticipated to be ready by 2022.
