Amidst the chaotic Coronavirus havoc in the world, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi declared this Sunday to be a ‘Janta Curfew’ day for the entire country. Read on to know everything.
The PM emphasised on the need of social distancing to the country. The Janta Curfew will be in place for 14 hours – from 7 am to 9 pm on Sunday. He even asked people to stay off the roads and public places during this period.
Essential facilities like police, media, medical services etc will not come under the purview of the curfew. In order to pay gratitude to those working in the transportation and sanitation department, the PM has asked the nation to stand on doors, balconies, windows of our homes and express our gratitude for five minutes by clapping or ringing bells.
