Know It All In 30 Seconds
Hey all Delhiites, it’s time to celebrate the new year with a bang as our PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji finally hosted the green flag to India’s first driverless metro, covering Janakpuri West till Botanical Garden, basically the Magenta Line.
What To Expect
The first driverless metro was flagged on 28th December after the metro was suspended for almost 168 days because of Coronavirus Outbreak, but now it is running on the track successfully and has contributed to the next-gen metro system which adds India to the league featuring countries having the driverless metro system.
What You’ll Love
The driverless metro trains shall be running ‘unattended train operation mode’ where the pilot shall be there but only to replace any faulty hardware, and after the public will gain confidence, the train will be running without any metro pilot. Also, it is expected that the same service shall be extended to Pink line as well.
A big step towards Digital India Initiative.
