Know It All In 30 Seconds
Think you’re standing on the bus stop and your boss asks you to shoot an urgent mail, but alas! Your feeble mobile network comes midway to raise your hackles. Most of us have been through sitches like these but now it’s finally the time to say goodbye to such worries. PWD is all-set to install free Wi-Fi at 11,000 locations of the capital by the end of December. The groundwork has already started.
Every individual will be eligible for using 15 GB of data per month at these hotspots, with each phone no. having a single account to access free data. 150 people can use one Wi-fi set up at a time. Once you’re within 50-60 metres of one of these public hotspots, the Wi-Fi name will automatically pop up on the network list of your phone.
The Wi-Fi networks will be fixed at various bus stops, markets and parks within the city. It will be a big boon for all of them who use the internet on the go for reading news, watching videos, listening to songs, executing vital tasks and many more.
So, get ready to save some bucks on your data packs by switching to these open networks.
