The Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Gautam Budh Nagar has stated that the sanctuary is visited by a large number of tourists, bird-watchers and joggers every day, and though the area of the park is a large one, the authority is taking the decision keeping in mind the well-being of the people.

The International Day of the Forest celebration, which was scheduled to be taken on March 21 in the sanctuary, has also been cancelled. All other functions involving public gatherings in the forest premises have also been postponed until further notice. Also, those engaged in infrastructural work within the sanctuary have been provided with masks, sanitizers and liquid soaps.
