What To Expect?
Phoolwalon Ki Sair is a heritage walk through the festivities happening inside the Mehrauli village. You ‘ll come across various flower sellers, both Hindu and Muslim come together and celebrate this festival. It’s a secular festival which involves procession led by shehnai players and dancers. It’s a three-day festival where the flower sellers pray for a better flower season to both the shrines. The people start with bearing large floral fans, pankha, to Yogmaya Temple, the shrine of Devi Jog Maya, and winds through Mehrauli bazar, to reach the dargah of 13th century Sufi saint, Khwaja Bakhtiyar Kaki.

It’s a very colourful gathering all together when every flower seller comes here and celebrates. Also, many cultural programmes keep happening inside like kite flying, qawwalis, wrestling matches and much more.
