Seeing the ongoing increase in the number of coronavirus cases in India, PM Narendra Modi addressed the nation today at 10 AM and declared that the lockdown will remain in the lockdown till 3rd May.

The PM said that all this was necessary to “flatten the curve” of infections. Emphasising the importance of the next week in the fight against coronavirus, he appealed to stop the spread of the COVID-19 disease to newer areas.

He also mentioned that relaxations can be given in those areas that have shown promise in fighting the disease.
