Living in East Delhi, travelling to the airport can sometimes get very expensive! So, for all those who live ‘jamuna paar’ here’s something that you’ve probably been waiting for. However, you must keep one thing in mind, not all the modes of transport can be availed in the dead of the night.

I. Living In The Patparganj Area? A Bus Is Your Best Option!

DTC buses are one of the best-placed modes of transport in Delhi with wide-ranging connectivity! In fact, you can take the bus route number 534 to travel anywhere from Patparganj directly to the IGIA. Moreover, the bus starts from Anand Vihar ISBT, which means that you can either go there or simply catch the bus from your nearest bus stop!

II. Living In Mayur Vihar Phase 2?

Mayur Vihar Phase 2 is probably the closest colony to NH-24 in East Delhi. In fact, you can catch either catch the bus from the highway itself or from Anand Vihar ISBT! Moreover, the final destination of the bus is Kapashera Border which is about 4 km away from the airport. Which means that you can take an auto to the airport that won’t cost you more than INR 100.

III. Metro, Of Course, Is The Perfect Mode Of Transport

If you’re living in East Delhi, Akshardham Temple, the line to Vaishali & Noida are all easy spots to catch the metro! In fact, you only need to travel to Shivaji Stadium to catch the Airport line to IGIA. Also, DMRC constantly revises its prices for the airport line, so usually it won’t cost you more than INR 40!

IV. But What If There’s No Metro Station Close To Your Home?

Well, this is a question that people keep thinking about. Yet, there are two buses that can take you to Shivaji Stadium Metro Station directly. You can catch the bus route number 85 that will drop you right at the metro station for you to then travel to IGIA!
