All those who hate getting stuck in traffic at the South Ext. stretch – listen up! By mid-May you’ll be able to travel from Vasant Vihar to GK in flat 30 minutes.

The entire 38 km long line from Janakpuri to Botanical Garden hasn’t yet opened. However, of the 38 kms, 12 kms between Botanical Garden & Kalkaji Mandir opened to public last year. In fact, the new section between the two focal points (Vasant Vihar & GK) is opening by mid-May! *woohoo*

Moreover, there will be 3 major intersections at Hauz Khas, Janakpuri West & Kalkaji Mandir! And the average footfall is expected to be approximately 4,00,000 passengers.

In fact, all that’s left of the new section is the go-ahead nod from the Commissioner of Metro Security.
