Beasts of the Southern Wild is the on-screen adaptation of Aliber’s play Juicy and Delicious. Quvenzhané Wallis, who played the protagonist role of Hushpuppy in the film was nominated as the Best Actress in the 85th Academy Awards, becoming the youngest Best Actress nominee in history, for scoring the title at just 9 years of age. The film also won the Caméra d’Or award at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.
