72 YO Old Delhi Man Who Lost His Son To Road Accident Becomes A Traffic Volunteer

Recently, Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik launched the ‘traffic sentinel scheme’. The scheme is part of the National Road Saftey Week. Moreover, as many as 319 volunteers joined hands to help the traffic police.

However, amidst the many faces, one man stood out. 72 YO Ganga Ram (TV mechanic), a resident of Seelampur. 3 years back, Ganga Ram lost his only son in a road accident and so, wishes that no family go through what he did. In fact, it was his son’s death that inspired him to help Traffic Police regulating & managing traffic.

Since Monday, Ganga Ram has been officially inducted into the programme. He along with the others was given kits with Fluorescent Jackets, Caps and Identity Cards!

So, if you too find that you have the time or inspiration to join hands with the Traffic Police, join the scheme RN!
