Here’s Everything We Loved About The 3rd Edition Of Locals District!

Know It All In 30 Seconds

The third edition of Locals District was nothing less than a 3-day music carnival. This year, the festival was more inclusive, more intimate and worth every minute spent in the 200-year old castle- Bara Bungalow (Castle) Kalwar.

What Happened?

The mesmerizing 3D projections on the 18th century castle wall (also one of the largest projection canvases in India) captivated the attendees with its colorful and intriguing art play.
It was fascinating to see an interesting fusion of Rajasthani folk music with thumping beats of the Djembe where enthusiastic dancing feet jammed with utmost joy. Segue’s musical storytelling bewitched the audience with his sunrise set on day 1 while others re-fuelled for the upcoming madness in their tents at Harlem (a 2-minute walk from the main stage). Nakadia’s after party set wrapped up Day 2 with a dazzling dose of soulful beats. John Acquaviva closed the 3rd edition of Locals District with his upbeat electronic music that only left the audience wanting for more.

What We Loved?

High energy mornings started with Capoeira by CDO Delhi, followed by Yoga Flow with Bhavini and meditation workshops by Helmy and Linnea. After grooving to some foot-tapping music, some headed to Rea for clarity and release through tarot and healing. People got themselves tattooed and pierced while others indulged in retail therapy at Ginza. The astounding performances by fire flow artists presented a bewitching act while DJ Black Merlin played a memorable vinyl set at the DeWallen stage.

Bottom Line

With an end to all the madness this year, we hope the next edition brings yet another time of non-stop music and madness with itself.
