ABOUT THE PLACE:
3 Pegs Down. A quirky name and so is this place. It is located at 11/12/14-A, Ground Floor, Southern Park Mall, District Center, Saket, New Delhi.
This place has just been launched by the Big Fish Ventures, and is already on a roll. Describing the theme, the owner: Mr. Umang Tewari talked about having a different theme ‘Tex-Mex’ which is inspired by the drinking culture of Texas & Mexico. This place is going to be one among the best tex-mex restro’s in the town.
INTERIORS AND SERVICE:
As soon as you enter this place, you get the feeling of walking down a street in the state of Texas. With the hosts dressed in cowboy outfits, the wooden interiors and the warm welcoming service of the hosts, this place just took my heart. It is a museum of Mexican artifacts: Tex-Mex flavors; cow-boy hats; wooden walls, floors and ceiling ropes on wall; a bull; a huge hat and boot; wheel cart chandelier; arch windows; beer barrel tables; and some of the best tunes of country music.
FOOD:
This place serves some amazing Mexican dishes. We got to try some of their super delicious starter’s.
These included: Vegetarian pizza(having a perfect thin crust and was baked to perfection), Paneer Tikka(it was cooked to an outright perfection- juicy and luscious. ), Prawns with Green curry( prawns can never go wrong, not at least at this place),Spaghetti in red sauce( this was one of the few dishes that were not so apt), Lotus stems( it had the perfect blend of honey with chilly), Soya Chap & chicken tikka (10/10)!
BEVERAGES:
Look at the name of this restro and I don’t need to say more about how the drinks of this place were! They offer some superb Cocktails in great variety which includes some fine Martini & other Drinks.
Apart from the lip smacking Cocktails they have in stock for non-alcoholics also, some amazing mock-tails such as Watermelon Star Anise & Virgin Mojito which were class apart. Also try their Chocolate shake and Lynch-burg lemonade which are super classy.
