If you’ve been planning a trip from Delhi to Jaipur, then guess what? It just got a HUGE upgrade!
Recently, the Ministry of Railways signed an MOU with an Italian company, FS-Italferr. According to the MOU, a study will be conducted to check the feasibility of a semi-high speed rail corridor. In fact, the MoR will start running the trains that will cut travel to Jaipur to just 90 minutes!
Currently, the trains running between the two cities reach Jaipur in 4 hours and 30 minutes with a high speed of 110 km/hr. However, the new train will run at a maximum speed of 200 km/hr!
Additionally, the plan was to rival airlines that usually take about an hour to reach Jaipur.
