Cyber Hub just came back to life again with the Excise Department hinting that it will reinstate liquor licenses. This will happen only if the motorable distance from the highway goes beyond 500 metres! In the past few days DLF Cyber Hub increased the motorable distance from NH-8 to its main entry to more than a kilometre.

30 Second Window:

• The concept of motorable distance is still under debate, however, it seems the Excise Department is fine with the said distance margin being adhered to.
• Motorable distance is a concept that allows bars, pubs & hotels to sell liquor as long as their entry gate’s distance from NH-8 is more than 500 metres!
• Which means that 35 bars & restaurants & sector-29 will not come under the ambit of the Supreme Court ruling.
